PING Glide Forged Pro Custom Wedge

Description

PING Glide Forged Pro Custom Wedge

In consultation with PING pros, we custom-engineered Glide Forged Pro for discerning shot-makers with a smaller, forged 8620 carbon steel head and precision-machined grooves for predictable, consistent results. A new face blast adds friction to increase spin and control across a newly expanded range of lofts and sole grinds to fit your game.

Tour Inspired To Inspire All

PING engineers conferred with our Tour staff and brand ambassadors in designing Glide Forged Pro to appeal to players who put a premium on precise, consistent shot making into and around the green.

Compact Profile, Captured Look

The smaller heel-to-toe head, which is forged from 8620 carbon steel, creates a captured look at address, giving you the confidence to manipulate the head and execute any type of shot with maximum versatility for predictable results.

Friction Face

Combined with a precision-milled face and grooves, a new face blast adds texture to the hitting surface, creating friction and more interaction between the club and ball for more spin and lower launch. The hydropearl 2.0 chrome finish ensures consistent results from wet and rough conditions.

Eye2 Toe 59°

The PING EYE2 wedge face profile inspired the “S” grind 59° option, which is distinguished by the high toe design made popular by Karsten Solheim’s iconic sand wedge developed in the early 1980s. It features a blended hosel and a more traditional sole design than the original with approximately 1.5° less bounce than the other “S” grind lofts.

Fit To Your Game

Two grind options, “S” and “T”, in multiple lofts expand the offerings to ensure a wedge choice to match your angle of attack and most common playing conditions. Eight custom grinds are available through PING Wrx, where we custom build Tour and college equipment.

Lighter, More Control

The PING Z-Z115 wedge shaft provides a lower launch with more control and enhanced feel. The Arccos/Golf Pride Lite 360 Tour Velvet grip is engineered with an embedded sensor to record and analyze every shot when paired with the Arccos Caddie app. Combined, the grip and shaft are lighter, contributing to an overall weight reduction for the entire club.

Shafts

PING offers a variety of shaft flexes in steel and graphite to meet your needs and preferences. Selecting the proper shaft flex for your swing will help you get the most distance and accuracy from every shot. Generally, players with faster swing speeds require stiffer shafts to keep the ball trajectory lower, while players with slower swing speeds will require more-flexible shafts to produce a higher ball trajectory.

The choice of steel or graphite shafts is usually based on preferences for weight and/or feel. Players seeking a lighter overall weight and/or a softer feel in their irons may prefer graphite shafts, while players who prefer a standard-weight club with a firmer feel may prefer steel shafts.

We recommend that you get fit for the shaft that allows you to play your best golf. Whether that’s a softer, lighter shaft with a higher launch or a heavier, stiffer shaft with a lower trajectory, a PING Certified Club Fitter can help you find the shaft that brings consistency to your game.

KBS C-TaperInspired by Tour player feedback, the KBS C-TAPER shaft is designed for players requiring a low piercing trajectory and superior shot control.

KBS C-Taper Liteshaft incorporates proven KBS performance benefits in a lighter weight design. The firm tip and soft butt produce a mid-high trajectory and controlled spin. Featuring a constant taper design and proportionate increase in wall thickness, the C-TAPER LITE optimizes energy transfer for maximum distance. Independent testing results revealed 5+ yards in added distance.

KBS Tour 105 Steelfills the much needed gap between the Tour and Tour 90 models, a slightly lighter weight shaft, all while providing precision distance and control in a shaft that players have grown accustomed to with the KBS Golf Shafts.

KBS Tour 90 SteelDelivers optimum stability resulting in efficient energy transfer from the players hands to the clubhead. Perfect for club builders and players who want to customize the shaft’s effect on ball spin and ball flight.

KBS Tour Steelprogressive weight steel shafts are engineered with ‘moment of inertia’ analysis to increase stability. With a mid/high flex point, these shafts generate a penetrating ball flight and low to mid spin. The higher balance point produces lower swing weights.

Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi MMT Taper Iron 105utilizes a patent pending Metal Mesh Technology (MMT) to redefine the possibilities for feel and performance in a composite iron shaft. A unique metal mesh – made from individually braided strands of 304 Stainless Steel – is integrated into the shaft’s prepreg layers towards the tip.

Mitsubishi MMT Taper Iron 85improves density and stability, while also allowing for thinner overall composite wall construction. Together this yields a finely tuned, highly responsive shaft that still provides the consistent launch and spin control needed for effective iron play.
